Go-to Background Removal Tools!

Updated: Jun 1

If you are struggling to remove the background from an image, you are not alone. It can be a difficult and time-consuming task, especially when dealing with complex images or hair. Luckily, there are several tools available to help make the process easier.

Here are some of the best background remover tools:

  • Canva background remover (try Canva Pro 30 days for free).

  • remove.bg (Free website, but reduces your image in size).

  • Photoshop (Selects object or removes background).

What seems to do the job best for my projects in a very quick and easy way, is Canva's background remover. Which is why I put it first on my go to list. This tool does a surprisingly good job at removing the backgrounds of most photos I throw into it. It is a great option if you need a high-quality image that is ready to use. Although a paid Canva account is required, it is definitely worth the investment. No worries, you can try Canva Pro for free for 30 days, and cancel anytime. See for yourself if it's worth it.

But if that fails and I don't really need a large HQ photo, I use remove.bg, in which you can drag and drop your image, and it will remove the background for you. This website does a decent job most of the times as well, but it downsizes your images. And a paid version of this tool is quite expensive.

If all else fails, I turn to my trusty Photoshop, and let Photoshop remove the background or select the subject automatically. All I have to do, is just do the refining to make it perfect. In Photoshop you have so much more control. This is not a good option for non-designers I'm afraid.

That being said, with these tools, I'm sure to find the perfect background remover for any project! Don't be afraid to experiment with different tools to find the one that works best for you and your project.
